How to perform first steps towards curing your anxiety

If you have read advices on these pages and you are still afraid to take first steps towards curing, the can be because of the following reasons:

1. You have been sick for such a long time you doubt you will ever get better. You may even think you have a chronic illness.

2. You don't have faith in yourself to actually do anything regarding your curing. You have failed yourself so many times in the past you simply don't believe yourself.

3. You understand everything that needs to be done in order to get better, but your body acts like it has a mind of its own. Like there is some conflict between you and your body.

4. You feel emotionally, mentally and physically drained to the point where you think that there is just impossible for you to do anything regarding your curing.

Let's look at these reasons in more detail:

1. You think you were ill for a long period of time so that you now think it's impossible to recover. First of all you have to understand that there isn't anything that is causing all this, there is nothing pushing you towards anxiety. Your reactions or symptoms are actually a response of your body to your thinking. If you change the way you think, your reactions will change accordingly. Your power to cure yourself is the same as any others, no matter how long you have been in anxious state. Even if you've spent years suffering from anxiety or similar disorder, your body is always ready for curing. The important thing is that you bring a firm decision to heal yourself. Once you understand the nature of disorder and when you understand what you are supposed to do, there is no form of anxiety that can't be cured.

2. You don't have faith in yourself. You simply don't believe yourself anymore. Actually, it doesn't even matter if you believe yourself or not. You are not asked to trust in yourself, you are asked to believe in what you have to undertake in order to begin your curing. However, your belief shouldn't be some blind faith. On these pages you can read about various types of anxiety, panic attacks and such. It is necessary that you strongly understand and trust these advices.

3. You understand what needs to be done, but your body acts like it has a mind of it's own. If you find yourself in this situation you will have to accept the first fear that comes before the panic attack or in moments of high anxiety. You probably believe that in moments like this you can't think clear anymore. If you think so, than how are you able to think things like: "I have to get out of here! I can't take it anymore!... and such? You can still think, even though those were wrong thoughts. When you experience strong fear or panic, you shouldn't try to run away from it or to try to run away from what you think it is going happen to you, because it is all just in your head. I totally understand that this may seem incredibly hard for you. However, your stubbornness and practice are very important here - practice every day. It is the same as with anything else - practice makes perfect. You will have your ups and downs but don't stop practicing - success will come.

4. You think you don't have the strength to undertake your first steps. Remember that the weakness your feel in your body which comes along with anxiety isn't real organic weakness. Your nerves can trick you easily because this weakness seems very realistic. You have to be sure you really don't have any other illness of course. So, no matter how bad you feel at the moment, your muscles are always ready for greater activity, and you will feel better when you start using your body and muscles.

Don't lie in bed for a whole day. If you want to get out of your current state, you have to undertake first steps. Just do it! The four steps lead to your curing.
